It is important to strengthen your baby’s leg and abdominal muscles, as well as their co-ordination. Your baby’s kicking skills are an important part of their crawling and walking development.
- Lay your baby on their back on a soft surface, e.g. change table or bed.
- Then hold a pillow, soft toy or rattle within kicking reach of their legs.
- Guide your baby’s feet to the target the first few times to help them understand the game.
- Be sure to give your baby lots of praise.
