Media Release: Ngurra Hub & Connected Beginnings Celebrations in Wagga Wagga

Media Release 10 July 2026

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Last week, our Interim CEO Monika Kiraly and Executive Lead, Services Sarah Connor were on Wiradjuri Country in Wagga Wagga, celebrating the Ngurra Hub and Connected Beginnings.

A big thank you to the Wagga Playgroup NSW team – Auntie Pam, Auntie Leonie, Cara and Kayla – and to Jasmine from UNSW for the warm welcome.

This amazing team has delivered the Ngurra Hub as part of Connected Beginnings for 4 years, creating a welcoming space where families can come together through playgroups. The hub has played a vital role in connecting Aboriginal families with essential services, including speech pathology, dental care, school readiness programs, medical services and more. It’s all about giving kids the best possible start when they go to school.

Connected Beginnings in Wagga will soon transition from the Ngurra Hub to RIVMED Aboriginal Corporation. We acknowledge and thank the Playgroup NSW team in Wagga for their dedication in reaching this important milestone and for the lasting impact they have made in the community.
