Early intervention program specifically designed for children with ASD or ASD-like characteristics
PlayConnect+ is an evidence-based early intervention program specifically designed for children with ASD or ASD-like characteristics. We also offer peer support opportunities for parents, carers, and siblings. These support groups serve as a platform to foster supportive social relationships with others who share similar experiences. We believe that building a strong support network is crucial for families on this journey.
We believe in the power of play-based learning to provide enriching experiences for children. PlayConnect+ not only focuses on supporting the development of young children aged 0-8 with disability or developmental concerns but also creates opportunities for parents and carers to foster social networks and connect with other early intervention services in their local area.
Our sessions are designed to be safe and inclusive for everyone. Whether you're dealing with disability as a parent or carer or experiencing low socio-economic status, our program is here to support you.
We are committed to providing culturally safe environments for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse families and children, as well as for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families. Everyone deserves to feel welcome and valued in our sessions.
PlayConnect+ is a vital service for children with ASD or ASD-like characteristics, who often miss out on mainstream opportunities for peer engagement. By participating in our program, these children have the chance to develop social skills, build confidence, and create lasting friendships. We are dedicated to filling the existing service gaps and providing support to families who may not currently receive funding under the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme).
We take pride in making a positive impact on the lives of children and families by bridging gaps and creating a nurturing community.
Playgroup NSW leads play-based programs and services for NSW families with children birth to school age, offering development, shared experiences, and family support, that results in active citizens and inclusive communities.
