As a Playgroup NSW member you and all adults on your membership can take 15 per cent off two of Australian Red Cross’ most popular First Aid courses.

Accredited Australian Red Cross First Aid training options for Playgroup NSW members include:

Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - Individual (Course code: HLTAID001)

Learn what you would need to do to act in a family emergency and save a life. This face-to-face training and assessment takes four hours and teaches you the skills to confidently give CPR. 

Time commitment: 4 hours

Cost: $51 for Playgroup NSW members 

Locations: In Sydney and throughout NSW. Provide your location when booking to find your nearest course.

Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - Group (Course code: HLTAID001)     

This course is designed for parents who want to feel confident to give CPR in an emergency. To make it easy for busy parents, Australian Red Cross offers groups a one-hour online course. Parents and carers of your playgroup can complete the online course in the comfort of their own home, followed by an hour of face-to-face training and assessment conducted at your playgroup venue depending on instructor availability. This offer is only open to current Playgroup NSW members.

Time commitment: 1 hour of online theory followed by 1 hour of practical skill assessment.

Cost:  Flat-group rate of $655. For under 13 people, can still have group training, but best to use individual $51 per person fee.  For 13 or over participants, $655 group rate provides additional savings.  Maximum 20 participants.

Let’s Talk First Aid - Group

This is an informal First Aid awareness session tailored to meet the needs of parents of young children. You direct what you need to know and learn, which can be anything from CPR action plans, allergic reactions, treating stings and bites or managing childhood bumps and bruises like cuts and abrasions and concussion. Best of all, an Australian Red Cross trainer will come to your playgroup venue.

Time commitment: Up to two hours.

Cost: $300 (maximum of 20 participants)  With 20 participants, that’s only $15 per person!
